Stefan Göllner

founded act-local.eu together with Martin Hesselmeier in 2009. He studied communication design at FH-Düsseldorf department of applied arts and design (diploma) and landscape planning  at TU-Berlin, worked at Academy of Media Arts Cologne (2007-2009) in EU-founded research project “Citizen Media” as researcher, interaction designer, project manager.  In late 2009 he joined Design Research Lab at University of the Arts Berlin / T-Labs for concentrating on his PhD thesis about interdependencies of aging and the design of spatial technologies.

Martin Hesselmeier

In 2002 he received a Diploma in Communication Design from the Fachhochschule Mannheim, academy of arts and design Mannheim and in 2007 a Diploma in Audio-Visual Media at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne as a postgraduate student and has since then been working for the EU-founded research project “Citizen Media” as a designer. He is working for various design studios in Germany.

Daniel Renz

Daniel studied cognitive science, evolutionary biology and computer science (dipl.ing). He worked as a researcher in the field of artificial intelligence (Fraunhofer FIRST), as a strategic political consultant (PROGNOS AG) and as a freelancer, focused on web technologies e.g. for WWF, Swiss television (SF1) or Media-Saturn-Holding on diverse business driven projects.

Mechmet Chiousemoglou

Mechmet studied computer science and philosophy in Humboldt University in Berlin where he specialized in accessibility issues for people with disabilities. Furthermore he obtained a qualification in Design Thinking from Hasso-Plattner Institute in Potsdam. Currently he is working as an entrepreneur and Design Thinking coach.
